Safe Women Foundation (SWF), an NGO registered as a Society with Government of India under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860, was established in the year 2008 for the personal safety of women through organizing and conducting Self Defense Workshops for women employed in the corporate sector, college and school Girls. The Foundation addresses all personal safety-related threats that women face today in urban India, which as we all are aware are plenty, and undertakes such initiatives that will ensure their right knowledge and techniques of self-defense, safety tips, learning through real incident sharing, and suggestive measures, so that they can acquire the confidence to move ahead in life without any fear and play an equal role for their own betterment and for the betterment of the society.

Dedicated to the safety, education, and welfare of women, for the last thirteen years, with the support of women’s groups and martial arts experts, the foundation has been dedicated itself to equipping women with knowledge and fearlessness conducting workshops and touring hospitals, hotels, schools, call centers, to teach women self-defense and safety techniques. Many of these workshops have been addressed by top functionaries of the government including the former Chief Minister of Delhi and the Foundation’s work has been greatly appreciated.

In 2006, Sunil Nihal Duggal (Chairman, Twenty 4 Ventures Group Limited ) authored the book “Women 24 Secure”, a self-help guide for women to make intelligent safety decisions and to trust their instincts. Built on the same principles, Sunil Nihal Duggal founded Safe Women Foundation (SWF). Shri Vinod Duggal, Former Union Home Secretary, and Governor have recently agreed and become Parton of the foundation. Ms. Suruchi Duggal is the Secretary-General of the foundation. The members of its governing body are eminent persons of the country who have proven credentials and are well known for their commitment to the cause of women.
